GMP medicines
During the research and development of medical products, the quality of the effective and auxiliary ingredients is specified, the manufacturing process and monitoring procedure set and the harmlessness and clinical effectiveness of the components evaluated. In order for each medical product to be in accordance in its properties and quality with the approved item, the manufacturer’s quality assurance system must guarantee consistent production, including testing of each batch.
Organic under the EU Organic Directive
The German organic certification was first issued in 2001, allowing organic products to be clearly labelled with a seal. Products and foodstuffs can only be labelled with the seal if they have been produced and monitored in accordance with the EU’s legislation regarding organic cultivation. These EU-wide regulations guarantee unified standards for organic farming. The organic seal stands for ecological production and appropriate animal husbandry.

Cosmos Organic
To aid consumers’ orientation at an international level too, Germany’s BDIH association has come together with five other natural cosmetics associations from France, Italy, Belgium and Great Britain to work on harmonising the various national standards. The result is the European Cosmos Standard setting unified benchmarks to ensure comparability. The national labels will remain, so that consumers can recognise the logos they have come to know.

Economy of the common good
Companies that commit themselves to the common good economy as a “balance sheet company” actively support an economic system that is designed to serve the common good. The balance sheet that the company prepares for this purpose shows all the efforts with which it contributes to society and to what extent it assumes social and environmental responsibility - i.e. the benefit that the company achieves for society as a whole.
